Contribute to Strategic Planning at YRDSB - Upcoming Town Halls
York Region District School Board is revisioning its Multi-Year Plan (MYP) and Board Improvement Plan for Student Achievement and Well-being. The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting the strategic direction of public education in York Region public schools. The MYP incorporates the direction established by the Trustees with feedback received from all stakeholders, and will inform decision making at the Board in the years to come. Town halls will be taking place across the region and feedback collected from families and community members will inform the creation of a new MYP. Your voice is important and your input and feedback will help York Region District School Board support student achievement and well-being. There will also be other opportunities, including a survey available in April, to share your thoughts if you are unable to attend a town hall.
Please contact the office, if you are interested in attending (905) 851-0043.

Introducing Online Kindergarten Registration! Kindergarten registration for September 2018 opened on January 19, 2018. This year, our school is excited to introduce online registration for Kindergarten. We are one of a small number of schools in the Board piloting this new, optional process. If you, or someone you know, is registering a child for Kindergarten at our school, you can access the online registration information at http://bit.ly/KindergartenYRDSB. Please note that a laptop or desktop computer is strongly recommended, rather than a mobile device. Of course, families are also welcome to register in person in the school office.
All Public schools in York Region follow a Safe Arrival Program. This requires that we verify every child's absence on a daily basis. If your child will be away for school, it is very important that you report your child(ren)’s absence to the office by calling (905) 851-0043 or by submitting the information on EDSBY. As always, our policy is that if we cannot reach you or the contact numbers on file, we are required to contact York Regional Police.
On March 1, 2018, Blue Willow staff and students participated in the Great Big Crunch! Together at exactly 2:30pm, we took part in ONE MILLION CRUNCHES across Canada to promote healthy eating, by biting into our fresh apples!!
