WINTER WEATHER REMINDER

Although the weather has been rather warm these past weeks, we must remember that our winters can get very cold and the change can happen over night. Families are reminded that children must come to school prepared to go outside in cold weather conditions.  Winter jackets, snow pants, mittens, hats, scarves and boots are key components to safely enjoying recess play in the fresh air. Rest assured that we monitor the weather conditions before and during every recess.

On occasion, School Bus service cancellations may occur due to inclement weather conditions. Parents, students and staff are asked to access local radio and television stations after 6:00 a.m. or www.yrdsb.ca to receive inclement weather information.  A bus cancellation message will also be available at www.schoolbuscity.com and 1-877-330-3001, or by following YRDSB on Twitter.

If a School Bus is cancelled for a day, it is cancelled for the entire day. If you choose to drop off your child in the morning on a bus cancellation day, you must also ensure you pick them up at the end of the day during dismissal.
