WARM WEATHER... STAY COOL!

WARM WEATHER... STAY COOL!

Warm weather brings with it enjoyable activities, but hot weather can also cause stress to our bodies.

With the expected high temperatures ahead, parents and students are reminded about the need to wear loose, light clothing that covers their arms and legs, which will help to reduce body heat through moisture evaporation.  For safety reasons, students are expected to wear closed-toe shoes.  Sunscreen and hats are also strongly recommended.

Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle for frequent re-hydration every 15-20 minutes.  Avoid using carbonated drinks with caffeine which promote excessive fluid loss.  Drinking water regularly throughout the day will help to maintain hydration and keep our bodies regulated.

Everyone has access to our water bottle refilling stations!
