Blue Willow School Council and our TELUS presenters for hosting a very informative presentation on
Social Networking Safety. We engaged in rich learning and conversation about how we can empower ourselves and our children to manage social media safety and privacy features. Special thanks to our presenters: Joseph and Lorraine, who shared such valuable safety practices and protocols that will help develop critical thinking skills and good judgement for all tech users.
DIGITAL Safety Tips include:
* Lock your phone - set and change passwords regularly
* Don't open attachments from unknown sources
* Use of wireless hotspots - know your security options at public hotspots
* Manage locations settings
* Update system regularly - use firewalls and router security (anti-spyware software)
* Ensure SECURE connections when shopping or banking online
